Give your coffee the mug it deserves and check out the below list of our favourite mugs currently available in Australia.

Ember Temperature Control Smart Mug 2

Easily the most innovative mug on our list, the Ember Smart Mug has an internal heating element to keep your coffee at the perfect temperature.

On a full battery charge, the mug will retain the desired temperature for 1.5 hours. Or with the new charging coaster, you can keep your drink warm all day.

Coffee Mug FAQ

What type of coffee mugs are the best?

In our opinion, the best coffee mugs are made from ceramics such as stoneware. While these materials are not the most durable, they provide a good level of heat retention, are nice to drink from, and look great.

What is the best coffee mug to keep coffee hot?

If keeping your coffee hot is the primary concern, we recommend the Ember Temperature Control Smart Mug. It is battery powered and can keep drinks hot all day, or for up to 1.5hrs without using the base station.
If you want something more portable, a double walled stainless steel coffee mug will have the best insulating properties.

What is the difference between porcelain and ceramic mugs?

Porcelain is a type of ceramic, along with stoneware and earthenware. Porcelain mugs will generally have a finer, smoother construction, almost like glass. Stoneware and earthenware mugs, however, will be thicker and less refined.
